The screen is the camera.

On the preview

Tap

Focus where you tap. The hand button — AF, AE or AF+AE — chooses what a tap locks.

Drag up or down

Pull focus by hand, mid-take too. Peaking shows what's sharp while you pull.

Drag left or right

Ride the exposure: EV in P/S/I, ISO in Manual. Right is brighter, and the full width is about ±3 stops.

Pinch

Zoom on the back camera. It stays live while recording, and in 48MP mode it goes digital too — so the image never jumps lenses mid-take.

Tap (eyedropper armed)

With the white-balance eyedropper armed, the next tap samples white instead of focusing.

Drag a badge onto the subject

The badges on the right edge aren't just buttons — drag one onto the image.

AFC / AFL

Drop it on your subject to focus there and lock.

AEL

Drop it to meter and lock exposure from that spot. Inert in Manual — there is nothing to hold.

WB

Drop it on something white or grey to white-balance from it. Not while rolling — a pick would lock WB mid-take.

A tap on the same badges still does the simple thing — toggle the lock, open the picker. All three drags can be switched off in Settings.

Shortcuts worth knowing

Tap the marked 1× lens pill again

Steps through 1× → 1.25 → 1.5 and back — a quick punch-in on the main lens without reaching for a pinch.

Long-press the EV chip

Snap back to 0.0.

Long-press the SS chip

Set the 180° shutter for your frame rate. It fixes the shutter too, so the mode moves to S — or to M, if ISO is already fixed.

WB memo chips

The four chips under the white-balance presets — long-press one to bank the current white balance, tap a filled one to recall it.

Photo shutter, mid-take

Grabs a still without touching the recording. The disc pulses instead of flashing.

Fn sheet

Drag down to dismiss. A tap outside any popup closes it.

Camera Control button

Set it to Record or Photo in Settings.
